This is a fabulous opportunity to acquire a large property that overlooks the pretty main square in Gorafe, in the heart of the Granada Geoparque. This area, designated a UNESCO Global Geopark, is fast becoming one of the main inland destinations for sustainable, cultural tourism. The landscapes are spectacular, and the history is unfathomable. You can read a little about our own visit to the area through our blog:

The house is in very good condition but could now be spruced up to suit the new occupiers’ personal needs. These needs could be as a large and comfortable family home or as a tourism-related business. There are many initiatives already in place here: e-bike hire, 4x4 tours, a Centro de Interpretación, but there are many more opportunities.

At 276 m2 of built area, this is a sizeable house that provides flexible accommodation and a lovely outlook onto the square in front. The little road outside is a cul-de-sac, so there is no passing traffic, not that traffic is heavy in the village!

Ground Floor:

Spacious entrance hall with a rear hall that leads to the kitchen. Off the kitchen, there is a large party and access to one of the bathrooms. Ground floor bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Steps lead from the rear hall into a generous reception room that also has a kitchen area at one end. As a bed and breakfast, this would be ideal as the main guest reception room, and there are french windows that open on the square at the front. Additional ground floor bedroom and ensuite bathroom.

First Floor

Attractive landing/seating area with french windows to the front. 4 bedrooms, large storage wardrobe and a large sitting room with fireplace, and french windows overlooking the square.

The main kitchen is in need of a refit, but structurally the house is in great condition.

At the back of the property, accessible via Calle Manuel García, there is a garage. We use the word garage loosely, as it is not large enough for a car but it does provide useful storage. However, this might be better used to create a roof terrace with access from the back of the house.

Given the very good structural state of the house, and both the commercial and residential potential, this is a great house that needs very little work and expenditure to spruce it up. Its position in one of the most breathtaking areas in the province of Granada, and the tourism infrastructure already in place, adds additional opportunity.
