    If you are looking for an investment property to provide holiday rental income, then this light, spacious and contemporary house would be an excellent option. That said, the house would be equally suitable for anyone looking to live permanently in a traditional Andalucian village where there is a lively and supportive community.

    The house was bought as-new when it was first built but has never been lived in. The new owner will, therefore, need to install the kitchen of their choice, put in the light fittings that suit their interior design taste and they will need to re-varnish the exterior woodwork and repaint the exterior walls.

    The property is part of a small and very quiet urbanisation on the edge of the village of Picena, stepping up the hillside and backing onto open countryside. The location is beautiful and the views over the vast surrounding landscapes are breathtaking. This corner of the Alpujarras lies just below the Sierra Nevada National Park in one of the most unspoiled and naturally stunning corners of Granada Province, and yet the coast is only 45 minutes’ drive away.

    Picena is a lovely village in one of the most beautiful areas of Las Alpujarras, the southern foothills of the Sierra Nevada. The area is hugely popular with hikers and cyclists, and there is a cross-country ski area in nearby Puerto de la Ragua. To the south from Picena, you can reach the coast by car in 45 minutes. To the north, over Puerto de la Ragua, you can be in Guadix and the Granada Geopark in just under an hour.
