This is a wonderful opportunity to acquire a spacious frontline beach apartment in one of the most traditional coastal small towns on the Costa Tropical, in Granada Province. The apartments were built on the pedestrian Paseo Maritimo in 2003 and this apartment has since been immaculately maintained. The building in which the apartment is located is set within a gated community and there are only 3 floors of apartments in each apartment block. From the balcony, there are views of the beach and the sea, and the sound of a waves are a constant reminder of the apartment’s proximity to the Mediterranean. The beach at Castell de Ferro has been awarded a second Blue Flag for cleanliness and the quality of the waters.

Inside the apartment, everything is in immaculate condition. There is a spacious entrance hall leading from the front door past the kitchen and two of the bedrooms to the living room and out onto the balcony. The kitchen is simply fitted and there is a useful utility room with plumbing for a washing machine and the hot water boiler. The utility room provides access to a laundry drying line in the exterior light well.

Two bedrooms share a shower room and the main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and an adjacent storage cupboard/wardrobe. The main bedroom has sliding doors that open onto the balcony, and the sea can be seen from the bed!

The living/dining room is a good size and has sliding patio doors onto the balcony. There is a ceiling fan in the living room and this is usually sufficient for keeping the room cool in the summer, although there is also air-conditioning.

Outside, there is a fenced central patio area with communal swimming pool and a small, child-friendly pool. A security gate opens directly onto the Paseo Maritimo, and there are security cameras within the community.

There is a service charge of €93 payable every 3 months for maintenance of the communal areas.

Castell de Ferro as a settlement dates back to Phoenician times and is crowned by the old castle. The town lies just beyond Motril on the road towards Almería. The airport at Almería is an hour’s drive from the town.

Within the town, there is everything you might need - shops, supermarkets, a weekly market, dental surgeries and medical centres, and plenty of bars and restaurants. The beach is a lovely broad stretch of sand and fine shingle and attracts many visitors during the summer months.
