There are two major fiestas in the village each year, one in January and a very important classical religious festival in October. Visitors come all year round to enjoy the hiking and the surrounding landscapes, and there are many activities available in the area. The village has a small supermarket, 3 good local bars, a medical centre, pharmacy and a cashpoint. There is a daily bus service to Granada.
